Garrett Wang

Garrett Wang portrays the young and bashful Ensign Harry Kim, just graduated from the Starfleet Academy. Garrett was born in Riverside, California to immigrant parents and spent most of his youth on the move. Locating to Indiana, Tennessee, and Bermuda. Garrett finally settled down in Los Angeles, where he attended UCLA and majored in Asian Studies. Jenny Roundtree, Garrett's theater professional at UCLA, encouraged Wang to act, thus he credits her very much. Wang's first performance was in Chay Yew's "Porcelain" at the Burbage Theater, portraying John Lee which would win him critical acclaim. Despite his busy schedule, Wang performed in "Model Minority", "Woman Warrior", and "A Language Of Their Own". Prior to his casting as Harry Kim, Wang appeared in "All American Girl" starring Margaret Cho. Wang also appeared in two independent feature-films, "Ivory Towers" and "Hundred Percent". In 1997, he was named one of "50 Most Beautiful People" and additionally by E! Entertainment Television voted him as "20 Coolest Bachelors" in the country.
