Tim Russ portrays the logical Vulcan, Lt. Tuvok on "Star Trek: Voyager". Tim Russ was born into a military family
in Washington D.C. and was raised on airforce bases around the world. His family finally
settled in Sacremento, after years spent toiling around Asia and the Middle East. His
first professional job came when he was in college at the St. Edwards University, Austin
Texas, where he appeared in a PBS Masterpiece Theater production. 1985 would be the year
that he would begin working as an actor full time. His roles include "The Highwayman", "The People Next
Door", "Arresting Behavior", "Freddy's Nightmares" and "Journey To The
Center Of The Earth". He also had a numerous telefilm credits as well. Such as
"Dead Silence", "Bitter
Vengeance" and "Heroes Of The Storm". His
feature film credits include, "Fire With Fire" and "Dead Connection". His stage credits include "Romeo And Juliet", "Barrabas",
"Dream Girl", "As You Like
It", "Twelfth Night", "MacBeth" and "Cave Dwellers".
Tim's "Star Trek" credits don't end with Voyager either.
His first "Star Trek" appearance was in the Next
Generation episode, entitled "Starship Mine", as a
Klingon in DS9's "Invasive Procedures" and as Tuvok in
DS9's "Through The Looking Glass", and the unnamed
lieutenant on the Enterprise-B in "Star Trek:
Generations". Whilst not acting, Tim enjoys writing, music and science. He is an
accomplished guitarist and vocalist and appeared in numerous bands and stage productions.
He also won the Sony Innovators Award for the public service announcement, "The Zone".
