Jennifer Lien

Jennifer Lien portrays the Ocampan Kes, with a lifespan of only nine years. Her species are first encountered by Voyager when thrown to the Delta Quadrant. Jennifer Lien was born and raised in Illinois and Jennifer knew that she wanted to act at an early stage. As such, her first performance was in summer theaters and festivals, encouraged by her english teacher and drama teacher. Her first role was when was a mere teenager at the age of thirteen. She began her career in William Shakespeare's "The Tempest" and "Othello" before moving onto more contemporary dramatic and musical theater. "Another World" was her first major break at the age of sixteen and moved to New York to portray the role. She worked for a long eighteen months before leaving her face to rest and her voice to work. She can be heard in "Saturday Night Live's" regular Adam Sandler's comedy album, for the "The Critic" and dubbed lines in the English version of "Baby Blood". On television, she won the role in ABC's "Phenom" and appeared in the independent film "The Hairy Bird". She also guest starred on the Oprah Winfery's series, "Brewster Place". Jennifer leaves Voyager during the season four premiere to pursue her long sought acting career in feature-film. She has been replaced by Jeri Ryan's, "Seven-Of-Nine".
