Chief Engineer Scott is the Mr. Fix it. He is there when
you have a malfunctioning warp drive or a faulty torpedo manifolds. Whatever the problem is, you
have Scotty. Mr. Scott has had a few share of difficulty, like when he and his party crash-landed
on Taurus II, whilst studying Murasaki 359. He was also implicated in the murder of an innocent
young woman by a sadistic killer.
Mr Scott is also the first to recrystallize dilithium crystals when they travel back in time
to the year 1984, to seek out two whales. Currently, starships can use synthesized dilithium in
the event they cannot mine pure crystals.
Mr. Scott was also rescued from a transporter loop when his ship USS Jenolan, the shuttle
ferrying him to the Norpin Colony crashed on the Dyson's sphere. He is later rescued by Captain
Picard and co, and given a shuttle to roam the twenty-forth century on his own free
will.
