Brent Spiner

Brent Spiner portrays the android, Lt. Commander Data on "Star Trek: The Next Generation". He was born and raised in Houston, and moved to New York after college, where he began to appear in a numerous Off-Broadway plays. The play that finally pushed him into the serious-actor category was for a public theater production of "The Seagull", for Joseph Pepp. He won roles in Broadway musical's, such as "Sunday In The Park With George", "The Three Musketeers" and "Big River" based on the Huckleberry Finn story.

After moving to Los Angeles in '84, he appeared in Westwood Playhouse production of "Little Shop Of Horrors". His credits include, Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories", a cameo in "The Miss Firecracker Contest" and guest-starring in such television shows as "Cheers", "Twilight Zone", "Night Court", and "Hill Street Blues". He was also featured in two blockbuster films, "Phenomenon", with John Travolta and "Independence Day - aka ID4", opposite Bill Pullman. He is also seen in the comedy film, "Out To Sea" with Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon.

During the fourth season hiatus of "Star Trek: The Next Generation", he co-produced and released his first album called, "Ol' Yellow Eyes Is Back". The album produced a hit single called "It's A Sin To Tell A Lie", which has guest-vocals from the "Next Generation". Brent currently finished filming the ninth "Star Trek" feature, "Insurrection".
