QUARK

Quark is that mischievous character on DS9, always trying to earn a little, maybe a lot of profit. Having a family tradition like Sisko, Quark has a continual relationship with his brother Rom (played by Max Grodenchik) and his nephew Nog, (played by Aron Eisenberg). While his brother Rom work for him at the bar, more recently working for Chief O'Brien as a waste extraction technician, Nog is currently attending Starfleet Academy, which he has strongly objected to, when Nog wanted to enter the Academy, in the episode "Heart Of Stone". Plus he has that continuing hate relationship with Odo, the security officer of DS9. As he is the lousy villain and Odo the law-abiding officer. Quark has gone through many surprises during the course of the series. Killing a Klingon in his bar to earn more reputation in "The House Of Quark", and marrying the widower, to helping his Klingon-ex in her financial debts in "Looking For Par'Mach In All The Wrong Places". He also tried to scheme his way with the primitive earthlings when they wind up in the 20th century in "Little Green Men". Quark sticks to his traditional Ferengi way, while many like his brother and nephew have followed in the footsteps of the Federation, which is the reason why he believes the Ferengi civilization is coming to an end.
